[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The recent move to migrating websites to SSL based on the Google mandate has made the usage of www as a yes or no an issue requiring action.
In a recent article, iThemes discussed this topic in detail and provide a terrific tutorial that I will certainly use as a client reference.
In my own case, I migrated Creative by Clark from my previous static Dreamweaver XHTML to WordPress. And when I did, I consciously made the decision to abandon the www in my domain name due to additional future plans. Additionally, I incorporated SSL. I had to make quite a few significant changes via Google in changing from https://creativebyclark.com to https://creativebyclark.co In the near future, I plan to expand my website into a MultiSite network to offer client subsite portals.
For those who do eliminate the www, it would be possible to use some free SSL certificates that are not offered for those sites using the www subdomain.
Please take a few moments to read the iThemes post. [read_more text=”Learn more” title=”Learn More…opens in a new browser window/tab” url=”https://ithemes.com/2017/01/09/www-in-url-domain/” align=”right” target=”_blank”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
